Past International Academy for Advancement Leadership alumni are invited to join Advancement Resources and the new 2023 International Academy for Advancement Leadership cohort in-person in Chicago!

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with other alumni of the program, get to know the new cohort of participants, and engage with AR facilitators and coaches. All alumni and new participants will also enjoy a special session Leadership with an Equity Lens facilitated by AR learning partner and DEI expert, Christina Chang, principal of Christina Chang Equity Consulting.

Tuesday, August 1, 2023

8:30 a.m.–9:00 a.m. CT | Breakfast Brainstorm (current cohort and past alumni)

A brief opportunity to connect with colleagues to share unique leadership challenges and brainstorm solutions. Breakfast provided by Advancement Resources.

9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. CT | Leadership with an Equity Lens (current cohort and past alumni)

An interactive exploration of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and what leaders must know to navigate conversations about race and racism and carry their organizations into the future successfully. Facilitated by Advancement Resources’ learning partner and DEI expert, Christina Chang, content may include:

    • Building skills to engage in courageous conversations about diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
    • Reaffirming diversity, equity and belonging as core values
    • Building and retaining a diverse workforce to ensure a robust future for one’s organization

These concepts will be discussed and reinforced throughout the IAAL program.

12:00–1:00 p.m. CT | Lunch (current cohort and past alumni)

Boxed lunches provided by Advancement Resources. Alumni are welcome to stay through lunch or head out for other business (hopefully with donors).
