Scott Cooksey, CFRE

With 35 years of fundraising, alumni relations, and foundation experience, Scott Cooksey is a proven leader in advancement. He has served as a front-line fundraiser, a senior leader, vice chancellor and vice president, and as CEO and COO of university foundations at Texas Tech University, the Texas Tech University System, and Utah Valley University where he forged strong relationships with donors and university presidents/chancellors.

Scott’s responsibilities at Advancement Resources include one on one coaching to help development professionals define their goals and support them as they create a plan to achieve those goals. Using his experience in advancement, Scott has guided advancement programs into implementing standards and metrics, enhancing advancement support and services, and successfully completing billion-dollar campaigns
