Marika V. Jones

Marika Jones has over 30 years of fundraising experience in academic, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations. Before joining Advancement Resources as a Strategic Partner and Coach, she served in leadership positions at University of Utah, UnityPoint Health, Iowa State University, and the University of Michigan. Marika has a successful track record of creating and growing fundraising organizations to achieve exceptional results; including the development and implementation of CFR, annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, alumni, and grateful patient and family fundraising programs. She has extensive experience in managing advancement organizations, including the effective use of strategic planning, data solutions, and cultural transformation to advance organizational goals. Marika has participated in the planning and execution of several successful multi-billion-dollar campaigns in both academic and academic medicine settings, as well as smaller campaigns in the healthcare and nonprofit sectors.

Marika greatly enjoys helping people to visualize and achieve their aspirational goals. She believes in harnessing each person’s unique skills and talents in order to effectively advance their careers and their organizations. Marika holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan.
