Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How is this different from the previous myAR platform?

A: If you had access to our previous platform, you can expect to find the same e-Learning modules, print resources, and videos that you accessed on the previous platform. However, these are now arranged conveniently by subject and can be accessed through your reinforcement learning plan. We are thrilled to offer this superior user experience and hope that you will find great value in these new reinforcement options.

Q: Can I still download complimentary myAR print resources, like the Donor Development Chart?

A: Yes! By scrolling to the bottom right-hand side of your Dashboard or navigating to the “All Channels” page in your menu, you will access the “myAR Resources” collection, featuring essential AR tools.​

Q: Why do I have access to this?

A: Advancement Resources public workshop participants receive complimentary access to the Reinforcement Learning Plan to support you in the continued application of key skills and concepts. Certain in-house workshop participants also have access, through their organization’s individual workshop agreement.

Q: How long will I have access to this?

A: Those users who are being upgraded from the previous platform will be given an additional full year of access to their learning plans, beginning at the time of the platform’s launch (Sept. 6, 2022). All users who are added after Sept. 6, 2022, will have a full year of access beginning on the date the course was assigned.

Q: What is my catalog and how can I sign up for courses?

A: Independent, on-demand courses are now available for purchase using the “Catalog” option. Users will receive a one-year subscription when they sign up for a new course using the catalog feature.

Q: Do you still offer a “Free” side?

A: We do not currently offer any free Learning Plans. However, it is free to create an account and purchase an independent course from the catalog, as well as access the complimentary print resources (see “Can I still download…” above for more information).

Q: How do I sign up multiple participants for access to Learning Plans or online courses?

A: If you are a manager looking to sign up a team, please work with your AR account manager to arrange access to the platform. If you do not have an account manager, you may request one by contacting us at info@advancementresources.org.

Q: Does this affect how I register for public workshops?

A: No, you can continue to use the public workshop registration feature on the Advancement Resources website. For your convenience, we have also linked to the Public Workshops page on the left-hand side of your dashboard, just below My Courses and Learning Plans. You may also access our website by clicking on “Upcoming Public Offerings” in your menu.

Q: How can I change my profile information?

A: Use the widget on the top right-hand side of your screen to change your personal information, password, or preferences. This can also be accessed in your menu by clicking on the pencil icon.

Q: Can I still get CFRE credit for the completion of learning plans?

A: Yes! Please contact us at myAR@advancementresources.org for more information.

Q: Can I still see my transcript?

A: To streamline the features of our LMS to focus solely on on-demand learning, we have removed the “My Transcripts” feature. If you wish to see a report of your Advancement Resources course completions for in-person or live virtual workshops, please send a request to info@advancementresources.org.

Q: Why do I see a “My Team” page instead of a Dashboard?

A: If you manage other users or teams, you may see a “My Team” page as a landing page instead of your dashboard. Use the menu on the left-hand side of the screen to navigate to other pages. For other information on the features for managers, please see additional help below the video player.

If you manage a team, myAR includes several reporting features that you can leverage to ensure your team is maximizing their e-Learning experience. Please explore the subjects below for a quick overview of the tools available.

Q: How can I see my team members?

A: Managers can see team members by navigating to the “My Team” page in their menus.

Q: Can I assign tasks to my team members?

A: At this time, only the LMS (Learning Management System) administrators can assign tasks using the LMS. We recommend managers use their existing systems of internal communication to relay tasks to their teams.

Q: How can I see my team members’ activities?

A: From your “My Team” page, you can view each team member’s activities by clicking on the three dots on the bottom right-hand side of their name plate, then selecting “User Summary Report.”
