Position Summary
The Instructional Content Coordinator is an entry-level, Cedar Rapids-based position that collaborates with other members of the design team to create, modify, and proofread a variety of instructional workshop and e-learning materials. This role may also support virtual workshop production and some research efforts.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participates in document design of workshop materials
  • Participates in e-learning design
  • Participates in copy editing of materials including Keynote, workbooks, and e-Learning materials
  • Collaborates with design leads to create customized workshop materials, as needed
  • Assists facilitation teams during virtual and onsite workshops
  • Conducts design-related research to assist in the development of workshop content.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Performs 8 hours of an 8-hour day in a sitting or standing position behind a desk when in an office setting
  • Operates MacOS computer equipment
  • Occasionally lifts 10-20 lbs. (i.e. boxes, materials)

Cognitive Requirements

  • Ability to apply creative approach for workshop and web materials
  • Ability to use and/or learn to use design software programs InDesign, Rise, Keynote, and Acrobat Pro.
  • Possesses attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Follows DiffStrat Companies, Inc.’s policies and procedures as outlined in the DiffStrat Team Member Handbook.

Work Environment
While performing duties of this position in the office, the employee will be in an office setting, with moderate to low noise level. During any required company travel, may encounter a variety of weather conditions.

This position may qualify for a flexible work arrangement.

Work Schedule
The employee typically works Monday-Friday with hours between 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. CT but may be required to work/travel some evenings and weekends to meet client requirements.

This position is Non-Exempt.
